Today is Catholic Advocacy Day, a day when Catholics across the State of Maryland contact their state legislators to advocate on critical issues impacting our churches, school, families, and communities. Parishioners can participate in the online event organized by the Maryland Catholic Conference.
Parishioners are encouraged to read a recent letter from the Holy Father to the United States Conference on Catholic Bishops regarding immigration in the United States.
Parishioners are needed to join Deacon Oscar and members of the Parish Council in determining additional activities that will provide our parish community with regular opportunities to feed the hungry right here in our parish and the surrounding community of Silver Spring. Please consider answering the call to serve on this committee.
Through your generosity, we have nearly completed financing our restored pews. As of December 31, 2024, the original $127,100 expense has been reduced to only $22,881.
On the weekend of February 22 & 23, parishioners will be asked prayerfully to make their commitment to the Appeal. Please take a brochure after Mass this weekend, or visit appeal.adw.org, to learn more about how the Appeal benefits our parish and serves people in need throughout the Archdiocese, as well as to guide your own level of giving.
