All young adults (college age-thirties) are invited to join Silver Spring Catholic for ALPHA to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment. The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics including 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why and how do I pray?', with the option of a weekend away. Help alleviate poverty in our area and around the world. St. Michael's Church needs your help collecting change as part of this year's Operation Rice Bowl campaign. Twenty five percent of your donations go to hunger and poverty alleviation efforts in our own community. Seventy Five percent goes to supporting Catholic Relief Services' humanitarian relief programs in 100 countries worldwide. Just $10 provides a family with two weeks of food. During lent, please be sure to take home from church a Operation Rice Bowl container and fill it up. Let's do something as a community and make this year's campaign the most successful yet.
